Michael Scalabrino was born in New York but grew up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Michael is an Artist, Composer, Producer, and Guitar player. After many years of studying the guitar and piano, Michael was accepted to  Berklee College of Music where he was awarded several scholarships. There he studied Contemporary Writing and Production as well as Guitar Performance. At Berklee Michael had the chance to work with and study under people such as, Mark Robertson, Geoffrey Keezer, Marty Walsh  (Supertramp, Eddie Money), Alain Mallet (Paul Simon, Sting), and Mike Pope (Chick Corea).

While living in Boston, Michael played in many bands such as rap group Exhorter and The Continuation and toured the East Coast. Michael graduated from Berklee College of Music with a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production and  has released a self-produced EP called That’s Time where he wrote, played guitar, sang, and mixed all the songs on the EP. It can be found on any music distribution platform.

Michael Scalabrino has a passion for writing music and for teaching. He has enjoyed teaching group lessons as well as one-on-one lessons for the past 8 years. He believes that anyone can learn how to play music. “As a teacher, it is my job to figure out what the student wants to know and learn and figure out how to help the student get there.” Michael usually starts the student out with an easy piece and has the student playing a song in the first lesson so they can see that playing music is possible for them and that they feel a sense of accomplishment. From there they can take on more challenging work as they make progress.

An impressive guitarist and multi-instrumentalist, Michael Scalabrino teaches music lessons in Los Angeles. Michael is comfortable teaching jazz, rock, funk, latin, afro-cuban, metal, country, and pop. He is patient and laid-back in his teaching style which inspires his students.

“We came to Tiffany Piano Studio after visiting 3 other schools in the West LA area. I liked the size of Tiffany Studio and the attention the teachers are able to give the students as a result. Their approach is very supportive and keeps the lessons interesting.”- Nate F.
